My office chair is my bed

And that’s a bad thing. The difference between laying down and sitting up is simply the position of my feet. My butt stays in approximately the same location for both and so it’s really easy to slip back into the slumber position.

Add to this the fact that I don’t really have many tasks to do for work that can’t be ignored or a day week or month as usual, and the incentive to work is low.

The minimal income I make currently doesn’t change if I work a little bit or not. The checks come in either way.

This leads me to be lazy. After 30 years of talking about detention deficit disorder and claiming not to be lazy, that’s a tricky situation to be in. I just do nothing so well.

It’s actually a skill. Not everyone can do nothing. I certainly shouldn’t be proud of it though.

I can do nothing when I’m high. I can do nothing when I’m not high.

It does make a certain case for being high though. If I’m doing nothing anyway then the high is not making me less productive. Funny how the brain can justify things.

But if I’m not high, and I’m still not doing anything significant, then they high isn’t ruining my life. I am.

Confusing.
