First of a few posts back to back

There are a couple of things that I would like to see improved that would help me in my daily blogging life. The WordPress Company has put out an app called jetpack, which is a way of blogging from your phone. Unfortunately, everything is absolute trash at uploading images or videos. it has trouble even with the simplest of featured images and all. And we’ll go into a loop where it’s trying to upload for it hours. Instead, I tend to use an Android app called Kiwi Browser. It is essentially a Chrome clone, except that they have enabled many of the Chrome extensions that Google’s android chrome doesn’t support. It also is capable of uploading imahes and videos much better.

It still takes a while to upload when I have a been prolific and doing a lot of video or image fiddling, so I prefer to upload in bulk when I am at my desktop computer. Bedroom wifi isn’t fantastic on my phone. I have just uploaded a lot of pictures and videos from this week, and I will be posting some of them now.

The second inconvenience of WordPress that would help me greatly is if they would support thumbnails of MP4 files in the media library. I have several new videos uploaded but I have no idea what they are until I view them and that adds several extra steps. The fastest way to view them is when I am about to insert it into a blog post, but because I don’t know what they are before doing so, I don’t know what to title the blog. Its not a huge deal, but it would make my continued blogging a lot more convenient.

Maybe I should post my wish-list to WordPress. They update often and I am guessing things that irritate me also irritate millions of other people, like the plugin information that isn’t helpful when activating a plugin. All it needs to do is tell me the name of the file I just activated so I can find it in the list and locate it’s configuration without having to manually look on the sidebar, inside settings, inside tools or on the Widgets page. Argh.
