I clicked on a link for an ad because it seemed interesting. Experience has taught me that I won’t get anything of any value until they tell me what the price is and they probably won’t tell me what the price is until I’ve gone through all the exciting adventures of setting it up. This turned out to be true so I wasn’t disappointed.
I’m glad I went through the experience, though, because it was kind of fun answering questions about myself. The idea of the site was that I would fill it in all of these things, and then it would create a book based on my interests and friends, etc. As it turns out the answer to The questions seemed to think a nonfiction book would be better than a novel in my instance.
I was a little disappointed but it doesn’t matter since I’m not going to see the book itself. It has intrigued me, however, to consider that some of the ideas for books that I’ve had over the years might be fun to revisit and experiment with an AI co-writer. I’m a pretty smart guy in my thoughts and to be unique enough that I suspect an AI wouldn’t be able to satisfy my needs as a co-author the same way that a human would. I have sometimes considered what it would be like to write an autobiography or a book about some of my other ideas. This cemented the concept that it probably wouldn’t work out well but it still could be fun. The chapters of this book certainly wouldn’t be able to delve into those topics the way that I would. I just think differently than an AI.
