One of the strange facts about drug use and the internet, is the way we perceived people getting high. It’s not usually depicted the way one would expect. I was always a little disappointed that videos of people getting high were almost always just videos of people using drugs, but not actually showing the “getting high” part.
People seldom showed much effect or join beyond the process of smoking and exhaling. I suppose you do see a coke snorter giving the rush of energy onscreen, but I was never a huge fan of coke.I’ve never seen a video of anyone enjoying the feeling of a meth high. I’ve seen hundreds over the years of people exhaling glorious clouds of white puffy smoke or floating rings forward into the room and they may seem proud of the accomplishment, but they never seem to express the euphoric bliss we read about.
I was exhaling my own clouds just now, and it hit me. I did feel a nice influence arrive as I sucked in an extra second. There it is, I thought to myself. The moment. The effect. The subtle change that starts to move in and take over. My mood shift.I realized it’s not something my face necessarily needs to show. It is subtle. It is personal.Welcome to an elevated Friday world. I’m ready for you, and I’m grateful. The best way to express it might just be a long blissful; ahhhhhhhh yeah.
