What if descriptions come true

I know I’m not the only one to notice that sometimes hearing about something makes you aware of it, and notice it more. Somebody could just happen to say you don’t see many orange cars on the road anymore and all of a sudden, you start seeing orange cars everywhere. It might even happen to you this week.

That theory carrys over to other things and I know I’m the past , learning about symptoms of a sickness can often bring about the feelings of those symptoms in a way that you start to notice. I’m sure there is a word for it, and maybe a different word for when it’s real or when it’s in your head. Both situations probably.

Sometimes we fear, and become aware of something only to discover we do that too. Other times we might start doing it, not realizing its newly triggered by thinking about it too much.

Lately, much of the online community is discovering many of them have ADHD and autism. Its fascinating to watch as a spectator. I’m sure most cases are real. People hear about symptoms and things match and click. I’m equally sure many people develop the symptoms either intentionally or unconsciously because that’s how their brains work. They understand and adapt. They suddenly start being more self aware and showing signs.

It made me laugh just now to realize how many mannerisms and actions described as ADHD might be sympathetic or mimics, and one day, we may reach a point where everyone is now doing those things identified as ADHD. Society evolves unconsciously through imitation without even knowing that’s what we’ve done. Nerotypicals are jealous of our observational superpowers, and everybody now wants on this bandwagon. Just for the executive function paralysis excuse alone. I notice one company advertising very aggressively for official diagnosis paperwork so you can use that to get out of work. If its a scam, I’m even more impressed. $299 is a small price to pay just to get your friends to stop calling you lazy, but I’ll tell you in advance. It doest work that way. People will always continue to consider you lazy.

So much so that you begin doubting yourself enough to write about it and share a post like this.
