It’s an obvious statement to say that men and women have different perspectives. They see the world totally differently in virtually every way. So much so that it is truly impossible to understand completely.

Our perception of how the other sex interprets their world is influenced by how we see it, and biased by how each sex thinks. My perspective of my universe isn’t going to align with anyone else’s. I can predict or imagine what it would be like, but it will not accurately represent it.

I have twice tested this theory using available tools, to experience a basic understanding, or as close as one can get without actually living in the real world as a man dressed as a lady. I have used technology simulations.

I should state that I am not comparing my experimental experience to anyone who might feel they actually are living in the brain or body of the opposite sex already. I can not ever hope to understand that experience.

I had a short sample of how others react to a pretty woman in a simulated social online environment. It was a fascinating experience that changed my mind about some things and expanded my understanding of life. It was quite different from the expectations I had before hand. I suspect many men would be surprised by the reactions.

Men have been dressing up as ladies for a few different reasons and your motivations and goals will bias the way you interpret the reactions you receive. My experiments were in a game-style online universe with an attractive passable female body. In the real world, there are men that may wear a dress in public, but nobody is believing they are females. Some have full beards. They get a different experience than I did.

Whether guys are crossdressing for the fetish or just curiosity about how the other half lives, it’s clearly harder with a masculine body  hands, neck and voice. Those were not an issue for me in the simulated universe.
