One of these days hopefully before the winter comes I will remember to bring my tripod down and set it up so that I can catch I have to pre-planned this precisely, because the the run of the hens. It has become one of the highlights of my otherwise doll weekdays.
I 1 set the tripod up along the sidewalk that has become their main path from the to the area where I feed them.
I have to pre-planned this precisely, because they start running as soon as I exit the door or make other various sounds alerting them t0o my presence. This means I have to deal out and set the tripod up and then intentionally make those sounds. It may take several days of practice to get it right and eventually the weather will be too cold for them to come running.
In my head I imagine the humorist YouTube video I could create if the snow was deep enough that they come running but their legs go into the deep snow and they are trapped. It’s not a particularly good visualization because it’s torture to the chickens if they were to be trapped in snow but in my head it’s funny. People videotape their dogs and their cats getting trapped in the snow all the time but somehow it seems worse if the hens are up to their breasts in light loose snow.
