Synchronizing Groceries. New life skill.

During the last couple of weeks I have made some judgment errors in my grocery purchases. I have found myself either with not enough bagels and bread to satisfy the amount of meat I have, or I have found myself with too many bagels and meat that has expired while I wasn’t looking.

I used to buy about four or five different types of lunch meat and three packages of bagels and that would be my main meals until the next grocery run.

Somewhere along the line, I got out of think and ended up either with stale bagels or stale meat. The chickens and the pig love still bread, but nobody likes rotting meat. It stinks. I currently have quite a lot of it and 12 bagels that will be stale soon.

This this month is a cautious month for money and to be spending for a second grocery run is throwing off my proposed budget.

Today I ate one of the meals from the freezer reserve, and it was nowhere near as good as I remembered it being. I’m glad it was on sale. That was an early lunch, and now I’m going to try and fall asleep at some point tonight but I’m going to be hungry soon I’m sure.

I’ll try and earn some money tomorrow by sending out invoices to should have gone out already. This should help me get back in grocery sync without guilt.

Maybe a little guilt will come because I’ll be buying another big pack of cookies. As an adult I don’t go through cookies as quickly as I did as a child, but these past few weeks, beat cookies have been a staple of my diet along with the chocolate bars.

Don’t tell the dietitian.
