I don’t like to complain. Having said that, I don’t like having a reason to complain because I don’t like to complain and having a good reason puts me in a spot.
Today I ordered the only hamburger in the city that’s 1 lb. It’s only available from Skip the dishes so I ordered it.
In Niagara Falls food delivery comes with a bit of a hefty surcharge. I know that if I’m going to have food delivered to me it’s going to cost $30. Pretty much no matter what I have which seems strange but works out that way for some reason.
Few minutes after my credit card processed and the order was about to say processing, but instead I got a orange warning; order rejected. No refund.no explanation and the chat support is with skip the dishes not the restaurant, so it’s politely useless support chat to the point where she said have a nice day and hung up on me right in the middle of a complaint.
I figured out why my order was rejected by calling the restaurant and apparently when they get super busy they turn off the delivery options. It’s supposed to pop up on the screen and say delivery not available at during these hours and it eventually did but not until the order was placed.
I’m not sure how it confirmed and took my money but it did and it’s credited towards a future skip the dishes order. I only use skip the dishes for this one restaurant so I’m out money.
Eventually in my frustration I ordered McDonald’s through Skip editions and it’s being delivered right now as I write this blog on the porch. It’s not what I wanted but it is beef and I haven’t had any for quite some time. Since I’m making more regular poos I decided to celebrate.
You probably didn’t need to know that.
Food arrived and the one ingredient that I was looking forward to for dessert was replaced with a bunch of other desserts. At least I like them. Apple fritters and a couple of cookies. A good replacement value but a disappointing end to a disappointing beginning.
My first delivery meal in over a month. My last delivery meal from skip the dishes I believe. At least until Uber eats lets me down in some similar way.
