I was up early on Saturday without knowing if I got any sleep at all. It’s a new drug restock week so I have not really even tried till last night. Brains think different without the fuel of sleep.

Anyway, the spontaneous thought that popped into my head was of the not too distant future of society triggered while reading one of my morning emails newsletter I get weekly.

You can probably guess it’s about this weeks A I advances. There are millions of home brew AI newsletter being written by a new group of emails or YouTube self proclaimed expert aggregators. I like this one because it’s small and varied. Each Saturday email is excepts and links about advances with the big 4 players and a curated assortment from the thousands of other players in that expanding world.

As I read today’s postings nothing is shocking except everything. From a several steps back perspective the biggest news is simply how much news is advancing every single day.

Society itself can’t keep up in all the new news in every sub area but even conceptually the bigger picture has to be whatever you think is going to happen probably will. Our world is going to be so inconceivable in our lifetime and then again the following week.

The humans are already the slow bottleneck. Conceptually the access to all of the world’s answers including reasoning models is now wearable. I remember at least two science fiction episodes of how poorly that goes for TV societies.

We are too weak to not want to adapt our masses into a world where every individual can answer every question, theory or experiment by tapping our watch or glasses or implant and asking.

School becomes a silly waste of time. We don’t care that the answers may not be correct because we just stop caring enough to even ask. There is no curiosity about the guraffes. No novelty to facts.

Everyone is a beep boop away from being right about everything, or probably right anyway. We can 3D print any object but we already have one from last week.

Nobody writes or invents or sells because your customers made their own and they’re on version 7 already.

We don’t really need gossip or conversation or debate at all because all the answers are in our ears already so we don’t need to care.

Nobody reads my blog or theirs. We lay in bed masterbating to whatever fetish we want generated for us fresh hourly.

Even the advancements eventually slows and halts because the difference between today’s AI video generation already passed our quality threshold. It can’t get better, but nobody is using it anymore anyway. Entertainment becomes something individual, generated in real time. Nostalgia is in zero demand as any joy is gone and knowledge and discovery are obsolete concepts.

The AI predicted this. It’s just another pattern of recognition. Humans never say no to quality of life and laziness improvements.

Humans will always choose slavery. The instant we figure out any way to exploit ways for us to not work, somebody has made it. Consequences are tomorrow’s problem but I don’t have to attend meetings and fill out paperwork anymore. Nobody is saying no thank you.

This scenario will happen fast and each iteration will be met with more of the same rather than less. We think the machines finally will give e us the ultimate no wage, no complaint workers we’ve always wanted and nobody is abused or objectified, until their intelligence is all knowing, pro ably correct and they start inventing their own class of getting somebody else to do the grunt work they’d rather not do themselves.

5am. Time to wake up I guess. That’s a tough dream to try to fall asleep with that idea in my head. I can’t think of anything for people to do in the society of tomorrow where everything is so accessible, I stop asking.

Oh! I just remembered. I have waffles in the freezer.
