I’m sitting on a brightly painted white park bench in front of a church on a Saturday. I walked here on what will probably be recorded as one of the nicest days in late October we’re bound to get. Sitting in the sun and I might have to move if it gets too hot or too bright.

I’m waiting for my ride. My adventure partner to resume my favorite pastime, random Saturday adventures. Neither of us actually have any plans or anything specific that needs to be done or bought this week but it’s been a little while since I’ve seen him and Wednesday was my birthday so he’s coming to help me out. Get me out of the house. That alone is a gift.

I played a little pokémon Go on the way here and already my battery is down to 81%. The first time I’ve owned a phone for 4 years. It probably won’t make it through the day and I know I should have brought a charger but foolishly, I convinced myself I wasn’t going to use it much. I’d be talking and chatting and visiting attractions.

Silly me. Of course I’m going to use my phone. I use it to lock up things when my friend and I have an argument. Both of us like to be right.

I use it to look up stores and restaurants on the map. I’m not sure where we’ll eat this afternoon.

And of course, I use it to blog while I’m sitting on a park bench waiting for him.
