I am about to watch the TV series debut of Krypton. I’m a little high, enough to be inspired to blog. My set and setting are rather depressing at the moment, and it is very possible I may bail quickly and tune in instead to a more familar how, lik South Park or whatever cop murder mysteries I have stored on the PVR. Maybe even NCIS which I’ve been a fan of, even though a recent article that comparred it to Matlock as being the current show that the grey haired old folks like.
That hit me hard. Personal preference peer pressure.
ok… unpause and begin.
pausenblog. A German word I made up to describe watching a show and pausing to write about it because I have no frinds. That last part I just added while I was typing. It seems my mood will effect my blog todat afterall.
ok.. unpause for real.
45 Seconds into the opening naration. I am pleased with the script, because in the only comercials I watched previous to this, I was upset that anyone from the time period of thiks show, two generations before Krypton was destroyed, would have any idea of that future.
The open words seem to be sent to Kal El, more commonly known as Superman. How would anyone know of their grandson’s fate, or even existance and name. That bothereed me… but in the opening, I’l accept it. Hopefully Ihave to think no more about this. It is a problem with prequils in general, because the audience are fully aware of the next chapters but the characters can’t be.
I’ll shut up now.
Cool. Red capes are a part of the culture.
Commercial break. I see they have found a way to explain the awareness of the future, and it was simple. Some random dude shows up wearing a baseball cap gives the lead El a crystal telling the story. That was easy. Now he is working to fufil a prophecy. Pre-destiny. Exactly the kind of thing I was hoping didn’t happen.
Up until that scene I was starting to realize the potential. This is a science fiction story about a planet and a people who we’re interested in because of a different story, but for the purposes of this show, all new.
Now I see they want to intertwine the stories. I am interested.
I like the scenary, and the scice fictiony part. I don’t need to care if Krypton has a Conon they’re ignoring or changing. For me, this is a new series and I will watch a fewmore episodes.
His girlfriend is from the House of Zod? I bet that ends poorly.
summary. I liked it. It stands alone so far.
