I remember the emotional reaction that I used to get from customers when I would show them the concept of their draft folder in their email program. Some reacted with shock, and others with anger and frustration and a few people reacted with pleasant nostalgia at messages that should have been sent but weren’t from years gone by.
Almost everyone was surprised by the messages in their draft folder and today I witnessed similar emotions having discovered almost 10 messages in the draft folder of my alternative WordPress post program. I don’t use jetpack that often but one of the advantages that it has is that you can create a WordPress post without actually being online. When the internet is down one of the only things I can do is use my phone without internet and so I tend to write. The problem is I don’t use jetpack later so it doesn’t know to send those posts and I forget them.
The disadvantage to jetpack is that it actually sucks for writing WordPress posts because eight times out of 10 it doesn’t connect and send the post if there is a photo attached or a video. If you include the featured image you are almost guaranteed of it not sending that message and I don’t always notice.
So in summary, the last five posts were probably written anytime between December and now and are not necessarily relevant or timely in this current week but jetpack is also crappy at maintaining the original creation date because drafts get sent with the current date not the creation date, which is always bothered me but not enough to actually put the labor into going and change the date.
