I didn’t get evicted

This was an unusual Tuesday and I was sure it was the end of my stay here. I didn’t have my phone and was severely dehydrated so I took a long nap in the back garden. Rather than sleep, I just listened for his distant bursts of anger, and made assumptions about what I’d done wrong this time.

Luckily, my good was reasonably serious and caused damage enough to distract him away from the secrets held within my bedroom.

I never mind being told off for things I agree I did wrong. I always do my best to see issues from his perspective, even when it’s not always logical.

This time my blunder was a legit stupid thing. We don’t have working laundry and the house is mud filled so I’ve started wearing dirty clothes again. My medication causes a very distinct and horrid smell especially I’d I sweat more than usual. My room is 35 degrees so I sweat more than usual.

I decided to take a laundry load of dirty clothes down to the white laundry sink and soak them out, followed by some dryer sheets and a cycle through the dryer. It seems like a solid plan until it’s two major flaws were pointed out. Dryers are not designed to handle mud and dirty and despite being called a dryer, they really expect a certain level of pre-dryer spinning.

Needless to say, this dryer did not enjoy being tasked to spin a load of really wet filtly clothes. It overheated, stunk up the basement and blew a fuse.

I lost power in my room.

I ran away, very dehydrated to the back yard for his anger to mellow just a bit, which it did.

Now I have to go take the stinky wet laundry and do something with it.

End of part 1.
