I don’t think I’d call it a nightmare. It’s more of a frustration dream, complete with the sideways elevator.
A bunch of my familiar friends went to see a movie in an unknown mall. The theatre had 14 screens and none of us had heard anything about even one of the film titles playing. This is a very real side effect caused by moving away from cable/network television with commercials to Netflix. Nobody sees trailers anymore.
We had no idea what was good or bad or who was in what, so we based our decision solely on the movie playing on the most screens. It was a film called {Deleted}.
At first I wasn’t sure if it was a movie, or a cancelation but we went up to the ticket counter and one by one, bought the tickets.
Peter H paid for me because I have no money.
We then walked around the mall a bit and I discovered I had left my ticket on the counter of the sales window after some confusion about payment. In the dream, it was quite specific, but it’s not important to detail here. The result was I had to run back to negotiate a ticket while the others were waiting.
I rushed back and after re-describing the incident, I got my ticket. It was for theatre 7 on the 7th floor. I returned to where I left my party and they were gone. Argh
I took the elevator up and sideways to the 7th floor, and met a few friends along the way, all of which were raving about a different movie. Maybe we chose wrong.
The 7th floor film had already started and my friends were in the 5th floor showing, which didn’t start for 10 more minutes.
They watched me travel by them with confusion. I was in a dilemma. Do I join my friends and break the rules, or watch a movie I know nothing about that already started alone in the correct movie, knowing they would mock me for that choice later, or do I just go home?
Final choice: I woke up at 4am and wrote this blog. I don’t like breaking rules or conflict.
thete was some ticket confusion, and I ended up having to te
