I find it funny how much time and energy I put into tasks that are not important. Configuration has always been one of the best ways I avoid doing real work. I can sit at my desk reconfiguring a tool for hours over multiple days and not accomplish even 5 minutes towards a project’s core needs. Two examples come to mind today. My video configuration to display multiple camera positions and screen displays. Nobody watches my live feed, so it’s just hours every day making it look just right.
In my programming tasks, I can spend a day getting the editor settings and plugins just right, and then change them the next day, break something and spend two days getting the settings just right again, and not touch one line of the programming tasks.
I wonder if that’s an ADHD thing.
I just posted this blog and as I was saving it, I realized it had nothing to do with the title. My intention was to promote the new frogstar.tv website I’ve been re-working to host my personal videos and TV shows.
