I’m so excited about today. I’m going into Toronto and we’ll get the opportunity to drive for the first time in perhaps 3 years or more. Probably more.
The car the main man uses around here is a rear-wheel drive sports car with summer tires and he’s afraid to drive it in the winter so rather than learning, or changing the tires, he bought a brand new car. Well, new to him. I used car from one of his bosses sight unseen for a price that’s probably higher than it should have been.
That’s not important. It will allow him to drive during the winter and stack a third car into our two car driveway.
Beyond the essential need for me to help him get it here, I’m 99% certain I’ll never be given permission to drive it again so today his special. We’re both driving to Toronto in his car and I’ll do my best not to comment about how terrifying that trip is. Once we’re there, I’ll get in the new car, and drive it home
It’s a reasonably nice day for the drive and although the sky is gray rather than blue still nice enough that I can sit outside while I write this belong and have the the hens join me as I talk into the phone and it translates it to text for me. They think I’m talking to them I’m sure.
It’s been exactly one week since I’ve been in charge of feeding them because he’s been home with either covid or a covid-like sickness. He doesn’t like to admit that covet exists. I’m a little disappointed he didn’t get much sicker because of his antibacts views which have been somewhat reinforced by the mild symptoms he’s experienced over the last week.
My personal sickness has not improved and in fact I’ve picked up diarrhea as one of the side effects. I’m not sure whether it’s related or not but I’m glad that I didn’t get super sick by sharing a home with him. I’m about to share a 2-hour car ride and I don’t dare ask him to wear a mask. He wouldn’t take that seriously anyway and assume that I was joking
I ran out of clean clothes unfortunately but I no longer have the body odor stink that I had when I was using. It has passed and although I haven’t officially bathed in some time, I did wash my hair in the sink yesterday and I believe my body odor is manageable and perhaps even unnoticeable when I’m outdoors or have been. I’ll try not to sweat in the car.
He’s very self-conscious around this boss who has him in a very submissive position. It’s almost sad to see but that could be more in my mind projecting than the reality. He seems to be under the impression they are close friends and be kidding around that he receives is just male bonding.
Today will be my first day seeing the boss and my plan is to make absolute minimum contact and if I can get it away with it none at all or at least not talk. I don’t want to do anything that would jeopardize in any way the respect he believes they have for him.
He told me that if I smelled or looked unclean, he would be ridiculed for it forever. It’s strengthens my belief that the respect to his bosses have for him is less than he believed. They once told him they keep around for entertainment purposes more than for his skill. He took that as a compliment. I’m not so sure.
In any case I’m sitting outside to let my body absorb the fragrance of the outdoors and I’m wearing a long sleeve garment that shouldn’t have any stink on it to cover my two week old t-shirt.
