I have to chant this over and over. Don’t stall till Friday. Today, at 8:31 a.m., I called the power company and pleaded with them to give me an extra week. Today was the last day before we got our disconnect notice and I still don’t have any idea how I’ll come up with the 1100 dollars needed to keep the electricity on but it won’t be disconnected today.

Sadly they’ll be calling my landlord and telling him The bill hasn’t been paid, but I’ll tend to that separately. I don’t know what to do and I am crazy but I did give myself an extra week. Now all I have to do is figure it out before that week comes and goes.

The temptation of course will be to leave it till Friday since I’ve already procrastinated and stalled 3 months. This is the part of life I hate most and for the last few years I have avoided. Either because I’ve been lucky and money has arrived when I needed it or I just don’t have that many debts anymore.

I’m not sure how I’ll come up with $1,000 but the important part is to not stall until Friday
