The Daily Show, with Jon Stewart, makes me feel smart, on multiple levels. It makes me feel well informed about the ideals of the two parties of Govrenment, three in Canada, and the American election, politics and Government. It makes me feel informed about the media, and the news, and lots of things.
I understand it is a comedy show, but presented as news, showing mostly clips that are video from real life events, mocked.
In general, the things that they show, and joke about, are not actual original jokes. They are reality, from a comedic, mostly liberal perspective.
I get that.
However, they have informed me that side side-ism exists, and to be honest, the current election is scaring me a little. I no longer see a Government with two almost equal sides on the way life should be led, in a world where we’re also learning hate never died, and people who don’t want to change, are being taught hjate is still ok.
Religion has overtaken politics, and the belief of superiority is dangerous. In politics and churd these days, I see not omnly a lack of acceptance or even tolerance, but an outright hatred. It’s easier to be right, if those who bare wroing, are niot equals.
In politics, I see the attacks against the opposition are scare tactics and sheer hatred. The other side isn’t just different, they’re wrong. An attempt to create fear of losing an election, to the point of panis, or civil war.
If we are always right, the wrong are inconvenient.
Religion only works, alone.
Government works best in pairs, like the auto industry. Choice makes humans happy.
Chosing sides.
Always creating apposition
An enemy.
In sports, we have teams, and beat people up in the parking lot for wearing the wrong colour.
We burn a city down when we win… that’s on odd one.
Watching the daily show makes me feel sad.
I say today, that the majority of people in our world today, really couldn’t care less about which Government is in power. They will be poerosnally effected and inconvieneced with the Government choces, regardless of who is in power. Things you love will be cut, and life will change as we rpgress as a nation from decade to decade, and and generation to generation.
The truth is, we would be better off in a one party system with more democracy on every point individually. Chosing a party in our exdisting system, is like buying a variety pack opf chocolate bars instead of 5 of the ones you like.
Like a variety pack of 20, you know you’re having to put up with at least 20% of the choices you’d rather not have.
They pick a side of apposition on many things.
I would far rather vote for a man, partyless that evaluates every decision of importance as a man or woman I resoect.
Just because you don’t like to have sex yourself, shoudn;t mean to have to obstain, and hate people who have babies accidentally, or prefer their own sex.
I wonder if Governmenyt would run more effciciemnt or less.
The real problem is, that I don’t trust the empires to do it fairly. At a certain lkevel, making money becomes a game, or an obcession, and kindness or even manners can be suppressed.
Evil exists.
People like to beat the system.
I got off topic.
It’s election season in the USA, and The Daily Show is my only source of info. It secretly makes me hate Conservatives… but I don’t. I fear them, ironically because I think they may fear my side even more, and they have the guns.
The really crazy ones have lots of guns and will shoot me if I try to take them away. Even the black guy is afraiod to take the guns away.
Guns. Another one in the variety pack you don’t get to choose on your own. One party says yes.
Side fear. I should be terrified of the TV show Revolution. It shows people they’d do well without technology.
I fear the world that could be, any time.
And then I’m over it.
