I have a 10gb data plan on my phone. Now that I am actually leaving my home more than once a month, it was time to upgrade. I will be traveling alone for two hours each morning and returning each evening.

I can look out the window some days but it was clear I’d be happier and more productive using my phone online during these periods. I’ve been the guy driving the car for most of my life. Being a passenger is still a novelty that I enjoy.

It is clear 10gb is not enough without making some changes to my online habits.

I can manage a few days a month using the crazy limited low speed they drop me down to when I’m over my quota for some things, but once you get used to something good, it sucks to have to learn to give it up.

I peaked in the 90s with a stable income that allowed some generosity and luxuries. Ever since then, I’ve slowly been giving up those luxuries each year.

It’s been a story worthy adventure giving up pieces of middle class each year. I adapt.

It’s all becoming a pretty cool life story along the way.
