Changing a standard

Rate this post

One of the things about human nature that we all pretty much have in common is that when we pick something as our standard we don’t really like to change. We go to the same store and we shop the same brands and people with Autism like me take this to extremes. Probably 30 years I only bought the exact same running shoes the exact same jeans and about 10 different foods .

This past week I have been having problems with my phone and the Google keyboard known as keyboard . It has been my standard for a long time and it’s one of the first things I switched to on every new Android but this past week it’s been driving me crazy with two weird glitches it randomly capitalizes everything and I don’t always notice right away every new sentence is in all caps and makes it look like I’m yelling it’s all so bad when passwords are wrong and other various inconveniences

So I went online and lots of people having the same problem apparently since Google’s newest update there were a lot of things got worse and it’s really a bad marketing process to make things worse just before a new release cuz at some point people are going to get pissed off at Google they brew into the search industry and other various things they used to be best at

So just now I switched to the keyboard I used to love before keyboard came out called Swiftkey and Microsoft bought it a few years back so it’s the Microsoft keyboard of choice and from the look of it it’s way better so we’ll see how it stands the test of time but as of now I’m quite happy.

I did a little deeper diving which is never fun because you know there’s 6000 messages people saying this is the same problem and I’ve got it too and me too and then the people who think I know the answer to that and they go to Google and they copy and paste the answer well that’s never the right answer of course so they look more foolish than helpful and I accidentally told one of them that today probably shouldn’t have .

It does appear however that on the absolved it myself bye choosing us English instead of Canadian English . No capital letters so far the only problem with SwiftKey is the period follows a space and there should be a way to solve that but they’re probably isn’t
