The prices go up today on anything exported from Canada into the USA. This doesn’t directly effect me until Canada retaliates and adds a tariff to imports. Technically prices should not go up until existing inventory is sold but we all know that’s not how industry works. Today is Tarrifs day and Trump has the delusion that this means Canada will suffer.
Canada seems to be rejoicing in the issue buying all things possible in our own country. It turns out that’s not as hard as we expected. Canada makes some great alternative stuff and even if Tarrifs go away, I think Canada may stick with our products and boost our economy.
It’s hard sometimes to know who is Canadian these days. Tim Hortons ads say they are proudly Canadian while ownership and profits seem to not be.
McDonald’s is an American company but in Canada, it is Canadian owned and operated under a license as are many big brands.
